Mobilk - Ooredoo staff and the company’s mascots the Alrabaa have taken part in celebrations for the international Children’s Day on 20 November.
The team travelled to Landmark Mall to visit families and pose for photos with children to raise awareness on the day – which aims to honour the well-being of children globally.
During the visit, the Alrabaa took part in a host of games with the children and handed out free balloons to remember the day.
The event aimed to inspire people to think about the wellbeing of children around the world as well as their own, and to spend more time with their children on the day.
Fatima Sultan Al Kuwari, Director Community & Public Relations, Ooredoo said: “Ooredoo believes in enabling children to grow to the best of their ability and to follow their dreams. We want to nurture and inspire the young people of Qatar, which is why showing our support for global initiatives such as Children’s Day is so important.”
Childrens Day was first proclaimed by the World Conference for the Well-being of Children in 1925 and then established universally in 1954.
The event was part of Ooredoo’s CSR strategy which places children’s education and wellbeing on the company’s main pillars of interest.
