Mobilk - In a first for both the Sultanate and the Ooredoo Group, Ooredoo Oman has been awarded ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management (BCM) Certification, achieving a standard over and above the requirements of the Sultanate’s Telecommunications Regulatory Authority. This certification represents the international business benchmark for service continuity throughout disruptive incidents, such as natural disasters.
“This ISO Certification is an important milestone for Ooredoo. We are proud to be an example of best business practice, setting standards for organisations of all kinds in Oman and throughout the Ooredoo Group,” said Wolfgang Wemhoff, Chief Technology Officer at Ooredoo.
He added: “This achievement is testament to Ooredoo’s significant efforts in future-proofing its network and providing service continuity for customers in every circumstance.“
According to Wemhoff, the benefits of the ISO Certification will extend beyond providing services for customers in crisis situations, should they arise. The network’s recognised reliability and security will also attract increased investment and boost competitive advantage in a market which increasingly looks for a robust and reliable service.
Constantly challenging itself to do better, Ooredoo sets itself ambitious but achievable goals, and is always on the lookout to deliver an enhanced service, not only meeting customers’ expectations but exceeding them.
