Mobilk - Ooredoo, in collaboration with the Ministry of Sports Affairs, announced the up-coming kick-off for the 17th National Futsal tournament, now called ‘The Ooredoo Cup’, at a press conference held at the Sundus Rotana hotel.  Running from 29 July until 15 August, this year’s tournament will see 20 teams from Ministries, Associations, and companies compete against each other in what are set to be action-packed five-aside football matches at Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bowshar.

Raed Mohammed Dawood, Director of Government Relations and Corporate Affairs at Ooredoo, said: “Ooredoo believes in solidifying ongoing partnerships between the public and private sector. This time the partnership manifests itself in sports. The power of sports and its role in instilling teamwork, determination and integrity as well as health, is key to both personal and professional development. This fun and friendly competition will allow players to build long-lasting bonds and skills, which they will carry with them for years to come.”
