Mobilk - Qtel’s pioneering global Qtel Data Centre continues to welcome new enterprise clients at a rapid rate, today announcing a new agreement with Qatar’s pioneering ‘next generation bank,’ al khaliji.

The new contract between Qtel and al khaliji will double the presence of the bank’s infrastructure within the Qtel Data Centre, helping to achieve more capability for their growing business.

Building on the already successful relationship between the two groups, the extension of the partnership will assist al khaliji to meet the enhanced business requirements of its growing customer base and continue to expand the range of cutting-edge services it provides.

The increase in capacity for the bank’s IT infrastructure at the Qtel Data Centre will allow for higher levels of resilience and efficiency, providing the group with a fully functional Disaster Recovery site, in addition to increased data storage space in the secure data centre.

Since its inauguration in 2005, the Qtel Data Centre has provided Qatari and regional organizations with a full range of Enterprise Hosting, Managed, and Professional Services. The Centre has been designed to host and manage IP Solutions in a seamless manner, offering a rich portfolio of managed services.

One of the major trends in today’s data centres is the process of “virtualisation,” where companies use advanced software to reduce the need for dedicated physical servers and data storage. Al khaliji is reviewing a full range of the latest services in order to support its ambitious growth plans.

The Qtel Data Centre has become one of the first global data centres in the region to provide local and regional customers with a full range of Enterprise Hosting, Managed, and Professional Services.

Qtel Data Centre’s fully-redundant facility has been designed and deployed in compliance with world-class carrier standards and best industry standards.
