  • Huawei to Outline its ‘Transforming Together’ Commitment at Middle East Channel Partner Summit 2015

Mobilk - Huawei, a global ICT solutions provider, is set to unveil a renewed channel strategy for its Middle East enterprise business and announce a vision of ‘Transforming Together’ with its partners during Huawei’s Middle East Channel Partner Summit, taking place on April 22 at Atlantis, the Palm Dubai.

Re-affirming its commitment to the regional ICT channel, Huawei plans to build on the strength of its channel partner network in the Middle East extending the availability of its specialized training and technical knowledge programs while empowering its enterprise partners to identify new opportunities for growth in 2015.

Enterprise CIOs responsible for implementing the latest ICT services within their businesses have started to explore emerging technologies such as Software-Defined Services (Agile Networking), Convergence & Cloud, Mobility and Big Data solutions tht can impact bottom line. Noticing this peak in interest, Huawei has revised its channel strategy to ensure its partners across the Middle East are equipped with the knowledge necessary to showcase how these solutions can offer greater flexibility, drive efficiency and reduce CAPEX and OPEX for businesses.

Hany Hussein, Channel Vice President, Huawei Enterprise Middle East, said: “In order to help enterprises address the challenges of a digital economy, Huawei needs to strengthen the support network that we offer to our partners. We are dedicated to offering the right tools, training and expertise that will empower our partners to grow our ICT offering in the region and help shape the enterprise landscape, driving further adoption of innovative emerging technology.”

Huawei’s renewed channel strategy comes as IT research and advisory firm IDC who recently predicted spending on ICT products and services in the Middle East will reach USD$270 billion in 2015, making this the second fastest growing IT market worldwide. According to IDC analysts, the areas of emerging ICT expansion include IT Cloud services, agile services that will drive demand for converged systems, open data that will begin to lead to more smart cities initiatives and more visibility of the third platform that will fuel innovation on applications with a distinct vertical focus such as Smart Apps for Banking. IDC believes these will be critical in the ongoing transformation and modernization process of the region.

Providing the latest updates on its key development areas in 2015, the Huawei Middle East Channel Partner Summit will include regional Huawei experts hosting panels on “ICT Innovation to Make Cities Smarter”, as well as specialized partner experience workshops highlighting best-practice case studies from across the region. A panel discussion will also hosted by intelligence firm IDC investigating the most significant regional ICT trends that are driving adoption of emerging technologies in local industries.

In recognition of the excellent work that its channel partners have conducted over the past year, the summit will also feature the Huawei Channel Awards ceremony, with a view to recognize partners who have made exceptional contributions to developing its channel business in the enterprise market. Award categories to be awarded include Best Value Added partner, Distributor of the Year, Fast Growing Partner of the Year, Service Partner of the Year among others.

Strategy for Success

Recognizing that the Internet of Things, e-Commerce, and digital media among others are driving the restructuring of traditional industries, Huawei has laid out a new four-point channel strategy to support its Middle East partners. The four pillars include a greater emphasis on Partner Focus, Partner Enablement, Partner Profitability and augmenting its regional Partner Program.

“Through developing tools that empower our partners, we can provide the right training and platforms for them to deliver exceptional value to their end-users in business and government. We will do this by taking on a selective partner approach. Through a close-knit, focused partner network, we believe that we will ultimately be able to create stronger incentives and provide partners with greater opportunities to maximize their profitability,” adds Hussein.

This strategy will also see Huawei focus on tailoring ICT solutions to meet the needs of organizations in specific areas such as smart cities, oil & gas, hospitality, financial services, education and more.
