TP-LINK to Exhibit at GITEX Technology Week 2014

Mobilk - TP-LINK, a global provider of SOHO and SMB networking products has confirmed that it will be participating at this years GITEX Technology Week.

According to the company, which provides a range of products in Middle East including Wireless, ADSL, Switches, IP Cameras, Powerline Adapters, Print Servers, Media Converters and Network Adapters, the regional marketing is rapidly developing as most governments lead with infrastructure and e-government services.

TP-LINK said having been in the Middle East market since 2011, the company has started to develop its business in Middle East and Africa and wants to grow deeper and strengthen its market position.

Denny Liang, General Manager, TP-LINK Middle East, said it is important for the company to showcase and promote the brand during GITEX Technology Week because the event is a perfect platform where industry peers from all over the world gather to highlight their latest technologies and product offerings. "We would like to be a part of this big event this year just like we did in 2013. For this year, we want to meet our customers and have a better understanding about business and challenges through the many interactions we will have during the five-day event," he said. "TP-LINK will be planning exciting giveaways during the week long technology exhibition and visitors will receive product updates and have the opportunity to win a range of prizes.

Liang added that TP-LINK will also be using this years participation at GITEX Technology Week to meet prospective clients and educate them on the companys broad SOHO and SMB networking products array.

Liang said TP-LINK will also be educating its channel partners and visitors that come to the stand on the various networking, WiFi solutions, 3G and, wireless router offerings that the company has for the SOHO and SMB segment. "We want our partners to share their business experience with us and GITEX offers the perfect avenue for us to receive feedback. We also want to use the show this year, to educate people on how to use our networking range of products," he said.

TP-LINK will be exhibiting at GITEX Technology Week 2014 in Zabeel Hall, stand Z-D30.

In another development TP-LINK Middle East has revealed plans to expand the channel partner base in the Middle East and Africa, a move the company says will see it recruit new resellers, solution providers and systems integrators in conjunction with all the existing distributors.

He added that the boom being witnessed in the networking sector in the region is creating more opportunities for resellers as the desire of having Internet and WiFi connectivity in every home is what todays consumers are looking for in the Middle East. "I believe this is our opportunity and together with the entire regional team, we have the responsibility to provide the best experiences to channel partners, and consumers through the broadened products we have in our stable," he said.

The company is planning to extend the business in the SMB sector. "We believe we have a compelling set of SMB products and solutions in the market today. We want our partners to grow along with us and increase their share of TP-LINK offerings in the market," he added.

Liang said through the partner programme, TP-LINK offers a rebate scheme for partners and in the fourth quarter, the company is planning to unveil an incentive programme. "We want to make certain our channel partners receive much more benefits from doing business with us. At the same time, we want to increase and enhance our partner training initiatives so that sales staff at reseller companies learn thorough understanding of our products and solutions," he said.

Meanwhile the SOHO and SMB networking solutions specialist has also outlined new bold initiatives that will help Dubai-based IT resellers to capitalise on the opportunities that are emerging in the networking segment and as the country prepared to host the EXPO 2020.

Lucas Jiang, UAE Country Manager at TP-LINK Middle East, said: "Dubai Computer Street has been lifted by Dubais EXPO 2020 bid win. "Being based in Bur Dubai as a vendor, we have seen that a lot of computer shops are opening up and this can only be positive for the local market," he said.

Jiang said as a vendor, TP-LINK doesnt just take orders and ship products out. "We have to monitor how all the products flow from distributors to resellers and end-users to ensure that there is no product stagnation or over stuffing which could cause challenges in the local market," he said.

He said because of the changes taking place in the Dubai channel, there is need for reseller operating from the street to differentiate their business from the competition. "Each channel has its own pros and cons. All programmes and plans we do, we always focus on benefiting our partners," he said.

Jiang added that TP-LINK is upbeat that the networking product will continue to experience rapid growth in the UAE as more infrastructure projects get rolled out in the country.
