Umniah signs local frame relay agreement with Irbid District Electricity Company to provide it with innovative business solutions

As part of its efforts to spread the latest and most advanced telecom technologies and in line with its aim to continue building effective partnerships with leading public institutions, Umniah has signed a Local Frame Relay agreement with Irbid District Electricity Company IDECO - one of the Kingdom leading public companies that adopt cutting edge technologies in their operations. Under the agreement, Umniah will provide IDECO with its Business Solutions service that will link IDECO offices- located in several northern governorates- Irbid, Jerash, Ajloun and Mafraq to its headquarters in Irbid on Baghdad Street.

IDECO General Manager Eng. Ahmad Thainat and Umniah CEO Mr. Ihab Hinnawi signed the agreement on behalf of their respective companies.

In remarks at the signing ceremony, Mr. Hinnawi described IDECO as a pioneer in utilizing the latest technologies in all areas of its operations to present its customers with advanced, high-quality services. Mr. Hinnawi said he looked forward to Umniah continued business relations with IDECO, which he hoped would present a positive model for public-private partnerships.

In turn, Eng. Thainat commended Umniah for the advanced services it offers within the ICT sector as well as for its various business solutions. Umniah dedication to continuous progress and development has placed it at the forefront of customer-market-centric telecom service providers that strive to assist public sector companies in catering to needs of the local community said Eng. Thainat, adding that IDECO seeks to provide clients with world-class services that adhere to international standards. I would also like to thank Umniah for supporting the student festival we held in collaboration with the Electricity Regulatory Commission with the aim of raising students awareness on the subject of energy rationalization and the safe use of energy.

The Local Frame Relay agreement corresponds with Umniah interest in broadening the scope of its Business Solutions services by providing IDECO with the multiprotocol label switching MPLS service and the Internet over microwave service.
