Huawei Named ‘Middle East Networking Vendor of the Year’ at Innovation Awards 2014

Huawei’s regional success recognized at Network Middle East Awards Innovation Awards 2014

Mobilk - Following continued investments in research and development to provide technologies across the region’s enterprise market, Huawei—a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider—was honored with the prestigious “Networking Vendor of the Year’ at the Network Middle East Innovation Awards 2014. Huawei received the award in the company of 150 industry professionals during a gala dinner at The Fairmont Palm Hotel, Dubai.

The Network Middle East Innovation Awards included 15 categories covering the full spectrum of talent in the ICT industry. The annual awards ceremony celebrated the best organizations on the regional IT scene, with awards being presented to companies that made an outstanding contribution to the sector over the past 12 months.

Firstly, they were impressed by the number and scope of implementations that Huawei and its partners have carried out over the past year. From government to leisure, Huawei seemed to have a presence everywhere in 2013-2014. The judges were also impressed with the strong offerings that Huawei brought to market over the past 12 months. Perhaps most importantly, however, the judges were impressed by the number of end-users that Huawei and its partners have kept happy this year. It is a rare thing to see so many customers so eager to praise a particular vendor."

Huawei was recognized by the judging panel for the efforts to grow its channel and local partner network which helped to drive the business. The panel was also impressed with the company’s empowerment of businesses within the region to capture opportunities from the advancement of network infrastructure. Huawei was awarded for making a noteworthy commitment to the Middle East channel community through their business development activities, product portfolio, partner programs and service support.

Following over a decade of success in the region’s telecommunications industry, Huawei’s Enterprise business group was established in the Middle East in 2011 and has since grown rapidly in both size and offerings. 

Since developing its Enterprise solutions in Middle East in 2011, Huawei has continued to align its channel strategy based on the key trends that are affecting the region’s businesses, identifying opportunities to affect notable change through the implementation of mobility, big data and agile network solution. This has included supporting partners that work across industries including medium size businesses in education, healthcare, retail, manufacturing, banking and more.
