AL Jalaa team beat the Lebanese Al Hekme and wins Syriatel Cup 2008

AL Jalaa' team beat the Lebanese Al Hekme and scored 3 edge points to set the score at (74-71) during the thrilling final round which took place in Aleppo on the 14th of November
 
The tournament was attended by a huge number of the audience at Al Assad stadium, who cheered all the participated teams coming from different countries.
 
During an official ceremony Mr. Tamer Al-Hejeh; the Mayor of Aleppo presented the cup to winning team Al jala who got the first rank, while al Hekma got the second and al‑Itihad got the third.
The Most Valuable Player awarded as the best player in Syriatel Cup 2008 was Michel Madenly – Aljala team.
 
Al-Haji also praised the other teams that participated from different Arab countries around the region including   Al-Hekma and Anibal Zahle from Lebanon, Al-Riyadeh from Jordan, Al-Itihad Assakandari from Egypt, Al-Yarmouk from Kuwait, Al-Wasl from UAE, as well as Aljala and Al-Ithad from Syria.
 
Syriatel cup is an important annual sport event that is sponsored by Syriatel in collaboration with Arab and European countries with the aim to promote sports, and support the local clubs and communities.
