SAMENA's forum titled "Beyond Connectivity" discussed new opportunities for revenue generation in the telecommunications sector during the current world financial crisis. The forum was divided into five panels that were titled "Emerging out of the Crisis: A Telecom Operator's Perspective", "New Revenue Streams and Advanced Initiative", "Mobility", and "Financing and Refinancing Accessing capital from the international markets when it is needed".

Distinguished international high caliber representatives, experts, and professionals from the telecommunications sector participated in this forum, and shared their experiences. Key speakers included Mobinil Chairman Mr. Iskander Shalaby, Orange (Jordan) CEO Mr. Mickael Ghossein, STC (KSA) CEO Mr. Saud Al Daweesh, Nawras (Oman) CEO Mr. Ross Cormock, Smartworld CEO Mr. Eyad Shihabi, Etisalat Group Chief Strategy Officer Mr. Ali Al Ahmed, Etihad Atheeb Telecom CEO Dr. Ahmed Sindi, Oger Telecom (Turkey) Chief Business Development Officer Mr. Hakam Kanafani, and Sevis President Mr. Steven Samaniego.
