Wataniya Telecom Sponsors the Kuwaiti Volleyball National team

Wataniya Telecom the leading company in delivering communication and technological services in Kuwait and the region has announced the sponsorship of the Kuwaiti Volleyball National team participating in the upcoming Arab Beach Cup in Beirut from August 4-9 August 2009.

Wataniya's sponsorship of the Volleyball team comes from its consistent support to the Kuwaiti athletic teams to always drive them in achieving more successes in Kuwait and the region, thus embracing Kuwait's position as a hub for sports talents and outstanding achievements.

Regarding Wataniya's goals of the sponsorship, Abdul Aziz Al Balool, PR Manager of Wataniya said: "Our sponsorship of the national team for volleyball is very strategic to our corporate social responsibility which directly aims in supporting the Kuwaiti athletic youth and providing them with extensive facilities to achieve more victories and accomplishments that will position Kuwait as a lead in sports on the Arab athletic map." Al Balool also added: "Wataniya is truly very proud of the Kuwaiti youth and believes in their capabilities, hence will always continue in supporting them in every way possible."

Chairman of the Volleyball Federation, Kamal Al Ayoubi, praised Wataniya's initiatives in sponsoring the cup and expressed: "Wataniya history is filled with generosity in terms of Athletic support and has always taken the lead in this prospect. In our turn, we deeply thank Wataniya's for its continuous support along this path which led the Kuwaiti athletic teams to attain great accomplishment which had raised Kuwait?s name to the top."

On a continuous note, Wataniya's footprints are visible in consolidating the athletic sector in Kuwait as its support has varied from sponsorship and encouragement of different sports teams such as soccer, Tennis, Athletics, basketball and many more.
