  • Nawras goes global to over 200 countries and territories with Tata Communications

Mobilk - Nawras, Oman’s customer friendly communications provider, is thrilled to be partnering with Tata Communications to offer a full suite of international services including the first Global Virtual Private Network (GVPN) in Oman. The exciting, new services will offer secure, international digital communications for multinational companies linking Nawras’ domestic network directly to over 200 of the world’s main business hubs and data centres via Tata Communications’ global network. For the first time in Oman, corporate customers will benefit from multi-point, worldwide reach.

By connecting to Tata Communications’ expansive global network, including the world’s first wholly-owned fibre optic sub-sea network ring around the globe, corporate customers will have immediate access to all of Tata Communications’ international carrier partners. With this Oman first, businesses in the region can benefit from the broadest international portfolio of products worldwide such as International Private Leased Circuit (IPLC), Ethernet, MPLS, CDN, video conferencing, cloud based computing, Telepresence, IP Transit and data centre connectivity.

Business customers are already reaping the benefits of the recently launched IPLC and Global Ethernet products - the latter being another first from Nawras. These services offer point-to-point connections with a communications link from the Nawras network directly from a customer in Oman to their company’s global headquarters, in around 60 countries.

Sheikh Abdulla bin Issa Al Rawahy, Chief Strategy Officer at Nawras, said, “Our partnership with Tata Communications will ensure that our customers can rely on a single provider for the fastest, most diverse and infinitely scalable network services across the globe. Nawras GPVN will seamlessly converge data, voice, video and multimedia to deliver secure, critical real-time information for every business need.”

He added, “This is a cost effective solution that will scale as businesses grow and offers end-to-end management with great flexibility and security, backed by our award-winning customer experience.”

The Nawras GVPN service also covers all main data centres including Paris, London, Amsterdam, New York, Singapore, Frankfurt, Mumbai, Marseilles, Los Angeles, Tokyo and Hong Kong, with the added advantage of one point of contact for all global network requirements.
