Itisaluna Participates in the Baghdad International Exhibition for Business, Construction and Investment

Itisaluna Abr Iraq, the latest National Wireless Fixed Voice and Data Telecommunications Company in Iraq, recently participated in the Exhibition for Business, Construction and Investment which opened its doors on the 6th of April in the Baghdad International Exhibition Venue.

Itisaluna participated in this exhibition as it is one of the major economic and trade events in Iraq, attracting a large number of local and international businessmen and corporations. Itisaluna set up a large display area showcasing the unique equipment the company uses to operate its voice and data services. Furthermore, The company also dedicated a section to allow visitors to try all of its voice and data services.

On the first day of the exhibition the Itisaluna section hosted a large number of visitors including members of the public, companies and government departments. Visitors flocked in droves to learn about the company's services and its special offers which have been extremely well-received by all the different sectors of society in Iraq.

Itisaluna's official spokesperson expressed how pleased and excited the company was to be participating in the Business, Construction and Investment Exhibition. He said, Our participation in this exhibition reflects our full commitment to supporting any national economic initiative in Iraq. We were extremely enthusiastic to participate in this type of economic and commercial forum which brings together the largest local and international firms. This demonstrates that there are many national Iraqi firms working in the most important national sectors, like the telecommunications sector, utilizing the latest technology.

Itisaluna recently launched its services in Baghdad and Basra after which it will gradually broaden its reach throughout Iraq, with the aim of covering the whole country within one year of commencing its operations, which was in March 2008.

Itisaluna specializes in providing Wireless Local Loop (WLL) telecommunications and data services. Users can make and receive telephone calls within Itisaluna’s network and to other networks as well. They can also make international phone calls at prices suited to the economic situation in Iraq. This service is made up of a large number of additional special features which are being offered for the first time on fixed lines, such as, SMS; call waiting and forwarding; caller ID; and many other services.

Itisaluna offers many entertainment features via its wireless fixed voice services, such as, SMS2TV; IVR automated voice response; and the fun box service which provides a variety of entertainment extras like poetry excerpts, beauty and etiquette tips, jokes and horoscopes.

Itisaluna also provides internet services using two systems. The first is internet (1X) and the second is high-speed internet (EVDO). Internet (1X) provides internet connection that reaches up to a speed of 150kbps, and is designed for students and people who use the internet on a limited basis. It allows users to browse web pages, chat, play games and check email. The high-speed internet (EVDO) internet reaches a speed of up to 3.1mbps and is dedicated to companies, business people and frequent users of the internet. EVDO allows users to benefit from a large number of technology applications like virtual chatting and downloading programs in addition to the usual internet applications like using email, listening to music, chatting, searching and browsing web pages.
