Zain SA participates in the opening ceremony of the King Abdullah University

On the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s 79th National Day, Zain KSA provided a full package of technical support for all the delegations at the opening ceremony of King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in Thuwal, held under the patronage of His Highness King Abdullah and in the presence of many global and regional leaders and VIPs.

Zain had been selected for the job by Emaar, developers of the King Abdullah Economic City. The mobile operator provided an integrated communications network to support an advanced intelligent network infrastructure including all communication services, data solutions, as well as dial-up and high-speed Internet telecommunication services.

Ismail Fikri, Zain’s operational CEO, said that the company’s participation, in such a historic event and in the presence of so many world leaders reflects the high regard in which Zain is held within the Kingdom. “Emaar chose Zain to provide technical support because it has confidence in our outstanding level of service and expertise,” he said, adding that its contribution also reflected its commitment to work closely within the fabric of Saudi Arabian society.
