For the third year, Orange Jordan, the sole integrated telecom operator, has sponsored and participated at Jordan Job Fair and Training Expo 2009, inaugurated by His Majesty King Abdullah II’s representative the Minister of Labor Dr. Ghazi Shebaikat who was accompanied by the Arab ministers of labor and delegations participating in the Arab Labor Conference.
Jordan Job Fair, which took place at Amman Exhibitions Park, Airport Road, witnessed the participation of over 150 companies working in vital fields in Jordan and the Middle East, such as real estae, health, education, information technology fields and more.
In order to facilitate the process of sending resumes and job applications, Orange Jordan provided the exhibition area with Wi-Fi internet connectivity for the use of the venue’s management, media, participants as well as visitors. All in all contributing in the interest of revealing Jordanian talents and reducing unemployment rates.
During this event, a qualified cadre of the human resources department at Orange Jordan met a large number of youth searching for jobs and discussed with them the process of employment and the way to submit job applications through Orange website www.orange.jo.
Orange Jordan had recruited a number of applicants who approached the company during last year’s event.
“Orange Jordan is keen on supporting this Expo as part of its social responsibility towards the Jordanian community and meeting the national needs and priorities,” said Mrs. Susan Abdeen, Director of Orange Employment Center.
She also added: “Orange is eager to provide all the care and support for society institutions in reducing unemployment and building the capacity of Jordanian youth. Our commitment towards the sustainable development of the Jordanian society is simply irreversible”.
The Jordan Job Fair 2009, held at Amman Exhibitions Park, is organized for the third year in a row by International Fairs and Promotions - IFP Jordan in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor with an objective to bring together local and regional companies with potential employee candidates willing to work in various fields.
