STC Signs a Direct Link Accord with Djibouti Telecom

Mobilk - STC Group announced co-signing a partnership agreement with Djibouti Telecom in order to link with central, southern and eastern African states as well as European and the rest of the world, in addition to take advantage of directly rapid speed exchange of data between the Kingdom, Djibouti and other African countries.

 

Inception of this point of international presence (PoP) in Djibouti is a significant step in the expansion of Saudi world recognized telecommunications network based on accredited multi-protocols and Internet IP/MPLS protocol spread throughout a number of key countries such as the Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan, India, U.K. and Singapore. 

Djibouti, for its part, is of great regional importance as it will complement the current system to provide wide-scale deployment of modern applications and innovative smart solutions which would promote the percept of up-to-date cybernetic world.  

Dr. Homoud Mohammed Al Kusayer, STC Vice President for Wholesale pointed out that the innovative services which will be provided via the Point of presence (PoP) are that of the virtual private network (VPN), to help business sector in the region to upgrade its enterprises and achieve aspirations, thus, contributing in the regional integration with the rest of the world and advancement of its peoples.

For his part, Eng. Abdulrahman Mohammed Hassan, the Chief Manager of Djibouti Telecom pointed out that this partnership with STC Group with its wide scale network and expertise would provide reliable solutions capable of promoting our commitment in the region. 

On the other hand, STC has taken part in the regional conference-cum-forum for telecommunications and information technology under the motto of: Capacity Middle East 2012, which was held, recently, in the Emirates, and considered to be the biggest and the most important, regionally speaking, in the field of telecommunications, cyber traffic and data exchange.
