Mobilk - Celebrating the contributions of youth to the Sultanate’s burgeoning art scene, Ooredoo awarded Ismail bin Said Al Hajji with OMR 1,500 as the winner of its prestigious Shababiah Art Competition. Drawing on inspiration from his work environment, the electrical engineering graduate from Manah came ahead of hundreds of entries with a design that combined his passion for billiards with the rich biodiversity of the Sultanate’s desert region.
Ismail commented on his victory, saying, “I was not expecting to win given the high number of professional designers in Oman but I’m very thankful to make it to first place. The day I was notified by Ooredoo that I won, I was on my way to back to work in the oilfields so it was a nice surprise which made my week.”
He added, “I thank God and my parents for this victory and would also like to congratulate all the other winners, whose designs I felt were all worthy of claiming first place. I would also like to thank everyone who congratulated me for winning, thank you for all your support.”
