Mobilk - CommsMEA announces the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of the Kingdom of Bahrain as best regulator of year in the 8th edition of the annual CommsMEA Awards on Wednesday, the 4th of December 2013. This award, won by TRA Bahrain for the fourth year, comes in acknowledgement of the regulators accomplishments in cultivating an environment by which the telecommunications sector across Bahrain has been able to flourish. The regulator’s 4th award for best regulator comes as a hard earned win amongst prominent rivals in the region such as the TRA’s of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Qatar’s Supreme Council of Information & Communication Technology.
TRA Chairman Dr. Mohamed Al Amer commented in regard of this saying “ Winning Regulator of the Year for the 4th time is both a great honor, and a testament to the unified vision and strategy exerted by our Kingdom’s leadership. The TRA will continue to strive towards excellence in pursuit of contributing to the evolution of Bahrain’s Telecommunications sector.”
Mr. Mohamed Bubashait, TRA’s General Director, stated that “ It’s through the hard work and persistence of the highly talented men and women of the TRA that this was made possible. The steps they take each day to accomplish the tasks they have been entrusted with are what lead to the betterment of the telecommunications industry; for fair competition amongst operators, for serving and protecting consumer rights and interests, and boosting the national economy. Going forward we remind ourselves that it’s not only our duty to set the bar, but to surpass it.”
