Smartworld introduces Smart Ideas Management Program

Mobilk - In line with the United Arab Emirates Innovation Strategy aimed at making the UAE the worlds most innovative nation by 2020, Smartworld, an Etisalat and Dubai South joint venture company, has launched Smart Ideas Management program.
The program, a major step toward embracing a culture of innovation across all areas of operations in the company, will encourage Smartworlds employees to come forth with smart, creative and innovative ideas for enhancing efficiencies, reducing costs and developing an innovative and friendly work environment.

Inspired by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, announcing 2015 as the Year of Innovation and the National Innovation Strategy, launched by his Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAEs Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, we have launched the new Smart Ideas Management program, through which we will encourage all employees to think creatively and innovatively. We believe employee participation is the key to develop the culture of innovation and through this program we will be able to achieve that and its impact will not be limited within the organization, it will extend to all our customers and other parties we deal with."
The UAEs National Innovation Strategy focusses on fostering innovation across various sectors including renewable energy, transport, education, health, technology, water and space.
Numerous initiatives in line with the strategy, which is also a primary tool to achieve Vision 2021 are being actively taken toward realizing the goals of the Strategy. Among the key tracks for action of the Strategy is encouraging private sector innovation by stimulating companies to establish innovation and scientific research centres, to adopt new technologies and to develop innovative products and services.
To encourage employee participation in the new program, Smartworld will organize special events; provide cash and non-monetary rewards, employee recognition, work-life benefits, variable pay and other benefits.
