Incredible offers on overseas calls has helped push the number of international call minutes being made from Qatar to an all-time high, new figures released today reveal.
Qtel launched a range of new international call offers in December 2009, including a flat-rate for all international calls of QR0.55 for Hala and Shahry customers. This exhilarating offer enables all Qtel’s customers to call internationally for this special low rate.
The call offer has been supported by special offers on Qtel’s new range of popular International Packs, which offer a set number of minutes at specially-reduced rates, making it one of the most cost-effective ways to make international calls. The special offer provided additional bonus minutes in every pack, supporting an effective call rate as low as QR0.35 per minute for the QR500 International Pack.
As a result, tens of millions of international call minutes have been logged in December and the first week of January.
Qtel offers four options for International Minutes Packs: a QR 50 International Pack; the QR100 International Pack; the QR 200 International Pack; and the QR 500 International Pack. For a limited period, Qtel is adding bonus minutes automatically for all new and existing customers, creating a massive allocation of international minutes in every pack.
Tens of thousands of people in Qatar have subscribed to the International Packs since their launch in November 2009.
To ensure the widest choice in the market, customers using Dawli MENA and Dawli ASIA can call a range of popular destinations for only QR 0.45 per minute – the best rate in Qatar for such a wide range of destinations.
As the leading operator in Qatar, Qtel offers the widest range of international call options to its customers, to ensure they benefit from more choice and great value. As part of the ongoing “Fuel Your Senses” campaign, Qtel has ensured that every communication option offers real value in international calling rates, and has worked hard to deliver great rates that can be relied upon across all international destinations.
As an additional bonus, members of Qtel’s exciting Nojoom awards programme are awarded one Nojoom Point for every Qatari Riyal they spend on Qtel Services, which can be used to redeem rewards.
With a range of festive occasions taking place in the last few months of last year, beginning with Eid Al Adha, Qatar has seen consistent demand for international calls. With Qtel’s world-class international network, it has been able to provide consistent service and capacity, ensuring that people were always able to connect with friends and loved ones abroad.
Moving forward in 2010, the company will continue to offer the stunning QR0.55 per minute international tariff for Hala and Shahry customers in January, and has an impressive range of promotions and new services planned for the coming months.
