Zain SA adds new cities to its advanced network

In a new expansion leap to cover its private network in the Kingdom and roaming services around the world, Zain Saudi Arabia has announced the recent addition of the cities of Al-Baha and Al-Zalfi and surrounding villages to its private network umbrella.  While on the global front, the Company revealed the signature of international roaming agreements with 19 new mobile operators in more than six countries around the world.

This comes only 10 days after Zain Saudi Arabia announced the addition of 10 cities within the Kingdom to its local private network and the signing of international roaming agreements with more than 169 operators in more than 102 countries around the world.

Consequently, Zain Saudi Arabia will provide international roaming services to all its Prepaid and Postpaid subscribers in more than 108 countries around the world through the signing of more than 188 agreements with mobile communications operators.  At the same time, the main cities that are covered by Zain Saudi Arabia’s private network exceeded 55, which render the areas covered in excess of 67% of the inhabited areas in the Kingdom.  This is a clear message regarding the reduction of the planned expansion time schedule.

On this occasion, Engineer Ismail Fikri, operational CEO at Zain Saudi Arabia confirmed that reaching this new ceiling in the private network coverage by the Company and expansion of the range of international roaming services for Zain Saudi Arabia’s subscribers worldwide, symbolizes the utmost attention shouldered by the Company in providing a variety of services, whether at the local or international levels, at the highest level of quality and within the shortest time.

Fikri said that the Company is motivated by its care to achieve distinction and uniqueness for its subscribers and to continue forward towards providing local and international services to the best of Zain’s abilities and in record time.  He reiterated that Zain aims to cover more than 85% of the inhabited areas in the Kingdom by the end of this year, taking care to offer the highest quality levels in providing the service through increasing their dominance and control regarding all that is related to those services.

Regarding international roaming services, the Operational CEO at Zain Saudi Arabia indicated that the Company seeks to provide the basic service bundles to its subscribers in the largest possible number of countries, which guarantees satisfaction while they are on the move.

Since the beginning of the launch of its service late last August, Zain Saudi Arabia has penetrated the Kingdom’s market with unprecedented distinction in all aspects, especially in services’ coverage, which has reached more than 95% of the populated areas in the Kingdom.  It has also seen noticeable growth during the past period in providing international roaming around the world.
