  • Jordan Telecom Group Foundation concludes its Internet activities at SOS Childrens Villages

The Internet Bus of the Jordan Telecom Group Foundation concluded its activities in the SOS Children’s Villages in Tabarbour.

Stopping at the Village, the Bus provided its services a whole week, engaging Village students to undertake an educational programme designed by Mrs. Haifa Fanous, SOS Village Manager in cooperation with the Jordan Telecom Group Foundation.

The Bus provided village children with an opportunity to experience recent technologies adopted by the WWW.  Foundation trainers provided computer and Internet training services for all residents who seized the opportunity of the Bus’s parking in their Village, facilitated by the computers on board the Bus, that have Internet access via advanced technologies.

Eng. Yousef Mu’addi, Jordan Telecom Group Foundation Manager, valued the exceptional role that the SOS villages undertake, represented in caring and educating an important segment of the Jordanian population, by building up their characters, and enhancing their achievements with science and knowledge, thus making them effective tools in the build up of their own communities.

He asserted that the Group is committed towards building a better future for the youth.  The Group is also committed to an effective partnership with society segments and sectors, which in turn contribute towards achieving sustained development in all human and economic fields.

Mrs. Haifa Fanous, Manager of the SOS Village, reviewed the many contributions and activities that the Jordan Telecom Group Foundation ran or helped in, highlighting the great support SOS Villages have received in the field of ICT.  The Jordan Telecom Group Foundation also contributed vividly towards training SOS children on how to use the Internet and how best to benefit from its different services.  Mrs. Fanous thanked the Jordan Telecom Group Foundation for all they offered and continue to offer, be it financial or immaterial.
