Zain announced the launch of high speed “data transfer” internet service on its private advanced network which supports third generation technologies and broadband service in the Kingdom.
The Company said that it provides the new service in the Saudi market through the most advanced international equipment designed for this purpose and at very competitive prices. Zain launched the Internet Key Modem E 180, which is characterized by its high performance, modern design and huge size. The Company is also keen to launch subscription packages to suit the varying levels of usage among its subscribers.
Dr. Saed Al-Barak, Zain CEO, confirmed that the launch of high speed internet service in the Kingdom comes as a result of Zain’s efforts to provide its esteemed subscribers with all the latest applications and technical solutions in the world of communications, indicating that the service of high speed data transfer has become one of the main uses of any individual to fulfill one’s scientific, practical and leisurely needs.

Fikri clarified Zain’s policy of providing several options at the best prices for its subscribers in the Saudi market, which is considered the largest internet user market in the region. It launched a variety of three subscription packages: the first is the Classic bundle of 1 megabyte data size at 100 Riyals per month; the second package is the Plus bundle of 5 gigabytes data size at 200 Riyals per month; and the third package, Open, is the unlimited usage bundle at 350 Riyals per month. He further indicated that Zain consolidated its new service by providing its subscribers with any of the packages with a free data chip.
