Four of 10 cars that Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) has put aside as raffle prizes for the Abha festival have found new owners, according to a statement issued by the company.
Among visitors who won cars is Raed Ibrahim Nasrallah, a doctor from Jordan. Nasrallah is new to the Kingdom and his visit to this year’s Abha Festival was the first. He said he had never won anything in his life. Hearing his name being read out as a winner of one of the 10 cars left him speechless. “I cannot begin to describe how I felt at that moment,” Nasrallah said. Hussein Al Qurbi, another winner from the neighboring country of Yemen, said his two-year old daughter’s winning added to his family’s feeling she had blessed the family with her birth. Al Qurbi and his family have been coming to the festival for the past few years. This time round said Al Qurbi, luck favored him and his family. He said the awards Mobily offered healthy competition amongst festival visitors.
To add to the fun atmosphere of the festival and get around quickly, a group of youth wearing skates and carrying Mobily’s colors roamed around guiding and assisting visitors with advice, water, gifts.
Also during the festival, thousands of visitors graced Mobily’s stands to subscribe to the company prepaid and postpaid packages, and try and learn more about its services. This is the third year that Mobily sponsors the festival, as part of its commitment to corporate social responsibility activities and its sincere desire to be an active and contributing member of the local community. The company has signed a three-year sponsorship agreement with festival organizers.
Other prizes available to festival visitors include five lines a day, as well as thousands of smaller prizes. The festival lasts until August 22.
