Mobinil was honored to be ranked first place among all CASE-listed companies in Egypt in this award, which celebrates best practice in corporate governance. The second prize went to Lecico Egypt and the third for Orascom Telecom Holding.
The Award Ceremony was held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel as part of the annual Transparency & Disclosure Conference by EIOD on Tuesday June 17, 2008. Mobinil Vice President, Finance, Mr. Khalid Ellaicy received the award on behalf of Mobinil.
The Best Disclosure Award acknowledges Mobinil for leading the way in transparency and disclosure of information to all stakeholders, by following best practices in corporate governance, quality of information, featured results and operational highlights, management discussions and analyses, indicators on prospects, and corporate responsibility.
The judging panel featured a gathering of distinguished corporate leaders, representatives from various regulatory bodies, entrepreneurs, senior executives at the EIoD's Annual Conference (Transparency & Disclosure) in 2008. Set by international experts, the criteria of evaluation also covered annual report quality, website interactivity, clarity of information and language, as well as user-friendly navigation.
