Zain Jordan renews its sponsorship agreement with both Al-Faisaly and Al-Wehdat football clubs

Zain, part of Zain Group, the leading mobile operator in the Middle East and Africa, has renewed its sponsorship agreement with both Al-Faisaly and Al-Wehdat football clubs. This is in line with the company’s strategy that aims at supporting the sports sector. 

The agreement was renewed during a luncheon held by the company and attended by presidents of both clubs as well as members of the board of directors, and s number of officials at the Jordanian Football Union.

Zain CEO Dr. Abdelmalek Jaber said: "Zain's commitment towards supporting football stems from the company’s belief in being an integral part of society. Jaber added that football is a mean of bringing people together and helps in promoting feelings of belonging between people.

Jaber added that renewing the agreement for the fifth consecutive year is a vivid example of the company's commitment towards supporting and the sports sector in general.

It is worth mentioning that Zain, through its corporate social responsibility policy, plays a key role in supporting the sports sector in Jordan. The company has established the "Zain" basketball club and contributed in sponsoring the Jordanian football League. Zain also organizes "Harat" on a yearly basis and under the supervision of specialized trainers/coaches. “Harat” aims to develop the Jordanian football through early detection of talents and abilities and through providing competitive opportunities between teams, all under the supervision of professionals.
