Omantel to Showcase Enhanced Brand

Shopper and Corporate Stands to Offer New Products and Offers to Customers   Muscat: Omantel will showcase its new enhanced brand and the way the company is offering an improved customer experience throughout this year’s COMEX with a major presence in the Shopper and Corporate areas of Oman’s biggest annual exhibition of telecommunications and information technology.

During the 5-day event the company is set to announce a number of exciting new offers for both its individual and corporate customers as Oman’s leading telecommunications company uses the event to get closer together with its customers.

Omantel and its mobile business Oman Mobile have already announced a number of exciting offers since launching its enhanced brand in February and “Together” tagline and COMEX 2010 will see a number of new offers and products on offer – including a highly anticipated mobile device.

The Shopper and Corporate stands will be staffed throughout the week by a team of enthusiastic Omantel staff who are looking forward to meeting so many customers and introducing them to new and existing products.

Among the most exciting offers will be the introduction of a range of new BlackBerry services for individual and corporate customers.

For postpaid BlackBerry users Oman Mobile will permanently waive the RO 10 connection fee and convert all BlackBerry users on the R.O 19.5 Standard plan to the BlackBerry National Unlimited Plan offering unlimited usage on BlackBerry APN with an additional 100MB to be used for WAP and TAIF at monthly price of RO 18.5.

On the BlackBerry Lite plan, the bundled usage will increase from 3MB to 50 MB and the monthly subscription will fall from RO 9.9 to RO 8.9. For the BlackBerry International Unlimited subscribers, in addition to the unlimited free usage on BlackBerry APN locally and while roaming, the company will bundle additional 200MB of usage for WAP and TAIF.

Meanwhile Oman Mobile has also announced a new pre-paid BlackBerry service for Hayyak subscribers. The new pre-paid service will be available with a weekly subscription fee of only RO 2 enabling old and new Hayyak customers to use up to 1OMB for this low weekly price. Hayyak Customer are now able to subscribe to BlackBerry by SMS with sending “BlackBerry” or “BB” to the number 90891.

Customers will be able to use the pre-paid service through a wide range of BlackBerry devices that are available through Oman Mobile and Omantel outlets, including the new Bold 9700, Storm 9500 and Curve 8520 (Gemini) and the opportunity to benefit from the reduced prices during COMEX 2010.

In addition to individual consumers, Omantel will also be showcasing its extensive offer to the corporate sector during COMEX.
