Jawwal launches Ana Jawwal program to train college students

the Palestine’s Cellular Communications Ltd. – Jawwal, a Paltel group company, celebrated launching “Ana Jawwal”, a training program for college students, at the Arab American University of Jenin. Ala’ Hjazi, Marketing and Segments Manager, Fateh Omar, Public Relations Manager of Jawwal and Dr. Hammad Hussein, Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Suleiman Abbadi, Dean of Faculty of Financial & Administrative Sciences and Public Relations Manager, Mohammed Saba’neh and a crowd of  AAUJ students attended the ceremony.

In his speech, Dr. Hussein thanked and praised “Jawwal” for launching this project which is considered the first of its kind aimed at supporting students put their theoretical study into practice. Accordingly, Dr. Hussein wished all the luck for the project to succeed.

In this respect, Mr. Ala’ Hjazi, Jawwal’s Marketing & Segments Manager, praised the continuous cooperation shown by the Arab American University of Jenin.

He also assured that Jawwal maintains to provide all special and new services to serve all students of Palestinian universities. “We believe in youth capabilities and we will do our best to increase our interaction with this segment of the society because they are the builders of this nation.” He added.

It is worthy to mention that the idea of “Ana Jawwal” program depends upon providing a training environment for college students on their campuses, in order to develop their leadership and administrative skills. The participants are subject to an intensive training program on the procedures of marketing, sales and customer service adopted by Jawwal. Also, this program aims to put the theoretical concepts into practice through the management of sales booths established by Jawwal at several Palestinian universities. Moreover, Jawwal launched yesterday a sales booth at the Arab American University of Jenin in line with establishing another sales booth shortly at An Najah National University in Nablus.

The participants are selected periodically every academic semester under the supervision of the Deans of Finance and Administrative Sciences. “Ana Jawwal” program is implemented at six Palestinian universities, 4 in the West Bank and the other 2 universities are of the Gaza Strip.

In the context of efforts to create competition among students, contests were announced for the best marketing projects submitted by the students every academic semester, so that projects are subject to evaluation and valuable prizes will be granted for the participated student groups. There are six prizes to be distributed, mainly; the first prize is $10,000, the second $5000, the third $3000, the forth $2000, the fifth $1500 and $1000 for the sixth one.  22/4/2009
