Sony Ericsson marketing head joins AVG

Sony Ericsson international marketing manager for Vodafone, and former LG Mobile head of marketing, John Bernard (pictured) has joined internet security firm AVG.
He joins as UK marketing director, a new role at the company.
Bernard said: “With a base of 80 million customers already, this is a great new opportunity to develop the AVG business and brand. It’s an exciting time to join with great new products planned and a full marketing mix of programmes to undertake in 2009 and beyond”.
Bernard was at Sony Ericsson for 18 months where he was responsible for its music strategy, including its Usher sponsorship, and marketing within the Vodafone global account team
