Nokia and Microsoft have formed a strategic partnership that will see Nokia use the software giants Windows Phone as its primary operating system.Under the partnership, Nokia will help drive the future of Windos Phone, the pair said in a statement today (11 February). The two will work together on joint marketing initiatives and work to bring the OS to a larger range of price points.Microsoft’s Bing will power Nokias search services; Microsofts adCenter will provide search advertising; and Nokia maps will be a core part of Microsofts mapping services.Nokias content and application store will be integrated with Microsofts marketplace for a more compelling user experience.Meanwhile, the future of Nokias primary OS, Symbian, and its joint venture with Intel, MeeGo, is uncertain.
