  • Nawras gives visitors a warmer welcome at the Salalah Tourism Festival

Mobilk - As Main Sponsor of the Salalah Tourism Festival, Nawras has seen over 20,000 customers to date visiting their high-profile stand. With four sales counters and seven expert Nawras advisors on hand to assist customers, this years’ attendance is the best yet.

This year there is a warmer welcome from Nawras with their ‘Visitor Line’, a special Khareef welcome pack valid for two weeks, with 100 minutes of calls to any GCC country and 500 MB of data, all for just 5 Omani Rials. What’s more, there is a Samsung Galaxy S5 up for grabs every week from Nawras. All customers need to do is use the Nawras network to make calls of five minutes or longer, to get a chance of winning. Customers can also sign up to the new ‘More Credit’ offer, giving up to 25% more credit depending on the value of the recharge card used. Plus the popular Sahra Time and other Shahry Packs are also available.

Ghaneem Al-Mashikhi, Director of the Dhofar Region for Nawras, said “Nawras is helping visitors make the most of their visit to Salalah with a wide range of promotions and competitions. We have seen an eight-fold increase in data traffic in the Festival area, as visitors to the Salalah Festival enjoy a significantly stronger network. Figures also suggest that more people in the Salalah area have switched to 3G and 4G-capable devices, especially with the Nawras great value offers and exclusive promotions for this year’s festival.”

The Salalah Festival is the highlight of the Khareef (monsoon) Season, attracting thousands of people from around the region to Oman’s southernmost city, for cooler temperatures and beautifully green mountainous landscapes. In preparation for this annual event, Nawras has invested heavily in modernising its network and has seen a 141% overall increase in land coverage in the governorate and a 338% increase in 4G indoor population coverage.

More information on the full range of Nawras products and services can be found online by visiting www.nawras.om, in store at any of the 29 locations across Oman, or at the Nawras stand located just inside the entrance to the festival grounds.
