  • Nawras hosts First Qtel Group Device Forum in Oman

Mobilk - Nawras, Oman’s customer friendly communications provider, recently hosted the first Qtel Group Device Management Forum.  Empowering people via connected mobile devices is a goal shared by network operators and device manufacturers.  Among the manufacturers and suppliers who attended the gathering were Samsung, Nokia, Research In Motion, Alcatel and Huawei. Delegates from Nawras were joined in the Sultanate by their Qtel Group counterparts from Qatar, Kuwait, Tunisia, Algeria, Palestine and Indonesia.

Welcoming the delegates, Martin Lyne, Nawras Chief Marketing Officer, said, “It is my great pleasure to welcome Qtel Group delegates and leading mobile device suppliers and manufacturers from across the globe to Oman for this Forum. Hosting this conference provides us with a great opportunity to share knowledge and discuss industry trends to find the best ways to meet the changing needs of our customers.”

He added, “As we make progress with Turbocharging our network, customers will soon be enjoying a faster and richer experience, and many will be able to choose from the latest 4G LTE enabled devices to take full advantage of the superfast speeds and greatly improved quality of service. By maintaining our competitive edge as communications continue to evolve, we can give customers more options by offering the latest handsets and devices with competitive bundles to suit different usage styles and budgets.”

As Nawras Turbocharges its network, the forum provided the perfect opportunity to share feedback and usage styles with the vendors in order to select the best devices for the faster network and provide the best possible customer experience. The forum was also a valuable resource to help device manufacturers develop new products based on the evolving needs of customers across the MENA region.

Nawras, a Qtel Group company, is committed to enriching the daily lives of people in Oman by enthusing customers with innovative communications solutions and products. More information about Nawras products and services can be found online by visiting www.nawras.om or any Nawras store.
