Nawras launches first Khareef welcome pack for international visitors to Salalah Tourism Festival

Mobilk - Continuing its enthusiastic commitment to the popular Salalah Tourism Festival, Nawras is launching the first Khareef welcome pack on 11 August 2013, to help international visitors from countries outside Oman stay in touch with their friends and family in their home country.

The pleasingly different welcome pack gives visiting customers a massive saving of more than 60 per cent when compared to the regular cost of each service and is easy to buy and use.  For only 10 Omani Rials, it includes 100 local and GCC voice minutes, 100 national and international SMS and 1 GB of data per month.  Conveniently, visitors can check their remaining balance at any time by simply dialling *141*007*7 on their handset.  The Khareef SIM card will automatically stop working after 90 days of activation.

Customers can purchase the Khareef Welcome Pack by presenting their international identification card or passport at the Nawras store at Muscat International Airport or Salalah Airport, as well as any pleasingly different Nawras store in Salalah, Sohar, Ibri or Al-Buraimi and the Nawras stand at the Salalah Tourism Festival.

Khadija Al-Kindi, Nawras Proposition Manager – Mass Market, said, “The welcome pack offers international visitors to the Salalah Tourism Festival everything they need to keep in touch with friends and family during their stay in Oman. With incredible savings, the Khareef Welcome Pack is another innovative addition to our product range that helps customers get closer and share special moments wherever they are. We invite everyone to visit our stand at the festival to find out how Nawras makes communications easier and always a rewarding experience.”

During the Salalah Tourism Festival, visitors can also enjoy the recently launched Sawalif which offers prepaid customers a flat rate of only 79 Baizas per call for up to 60 minutes to other Nawras customers and Mousbak International which provides great value to 10 overseas destinations at an off peak rate all day.

Youth customers have the chance to get free data by opting into the Sahra Time promotion from Shababiah. Each day that customers make national voice calls totalling just 300 Baizas, they will receive 1 GB of free data to use before noon the following day. Nawras Mousbak customers under the age of 25 can switch to Shababiah by dialling *141# from their mobile and following the simple steps shown to join the exciting service.

Prepaid BlackBerry customers can get more from their service with unlimited usage of BlackBerry Messenger and email. The weekly plan at just two Omani Rials includes 300 MB of data while the monthly plan extends the data allowance to 1 GB for 9 Omani Rials.

Each year, the city of Salalah welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors from within Oman and the GCC region to the annual Salalah Tourism Festival, held this year under the theme of ‘Oman – Giving and Loyalty’. To celebrate the festivities, Nawras will give customers and visitors a memorable experience as Oman’s customer friendly communications provider continues to introduce new and creative ways to delight and reward customers.
