Mobilk -  Empowering women in the public sector, Ooredoo has organised training sessions to enhance their skills and potential through the world-leading Springboard Programme. Sixty professional women employed in ministerial offices across the country have been invited to take part in the first wave of the programme, run in collaboration with the British Council, where they will attend four workshops over the course of three months starting from 22 February, 2015.

The training programme is part of the Memorandums of Understanding signed between Ooredoo and 17 government entities in order to create a strong collaborative environment to facilitate the exchange of best practices, knowledge and experiences.

“The Springboard Programme is an excellent opportunity for us to develop a real connection with women working in the public sector, using a platform that has aided the development of over 230,000 ladies in 30 countries worldwide,” said Raed Dawood, Director of Government Relations and Corporate Affairs at Ooredoo. “Previous participants have reported a substantial increase in promotions, greater productivity, improved social relationships, healthier lifestyles and a real boost to their self-confidence. We are proud to be partnering with the Government in this programme and be able to positively contribute to the lives of women in Oman, as well as directly enhancing the efficiency of government procedures and practices.”

Led by Ayesha Al Shoily, an internally Certified Springboard Trainer at Ooredoo, women will engage in key topics including; prioritisation, assertiveness, goal setting, health improvement, stress management and communication skills. The programme’s professional training on self-empowerment shares valuable insights into how women can enhance their careers as well as their personal lives, by developing dual-purpose skill-sets such as public speaking, self-awareness and self-management.

Committed to enabling women to achieve greater recognition by advancing their potential, women who complete the programme will be issued with an official certificate by the British Council. The critically acclaimed platform now operates around the world for a diverse variety of organisations; including universities, governmental entities, banks, media networks and police forces.
