Etisalat has announces its participation in Ras Al Khaimahs Awafi Festival as main sponsor

etisalat has announced its participation in Ras Al Khaimah’s Awafi Festival as main sponsor for the fourth year in a row. This initiative reflects etisalat’s commitment to supporting activities that engage society and help drive the national economy.

The festival includes a variety of exciting activities, competitions and shows for residents and visitors alike to enjoy. Entertainment will include traditional dances, plays, and puppet shows. There will also be car and motorcycle races, horse races, tug-of-war, football matches, plane shows, chess, Al Yowla, the Awafi Festival shooting championship and much more.

HH Faisal Bin Saqr Al Qassimi, Director of Finance Department and Director of Ras Al Khaimah Free Zone, said: “etisalat’s sponsorship of this important event is evidence that our national enterprises are still keen on supporting activities and initiatives that boost tourism in the UAE. etisalat has always been at the forefront in contributing towards social initiatives in the country that attract both residents and tourists.”

Humaid Sultan Al Suwaidi, General Manager of etisalat- Ras Al Khaimah region, said: “Under the leadership of HH Sheikh Saqr Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, and HH Saud Bin Saqr Al Qassimi, Crown Prince and the Deputy Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, there has been improvements to the festival year after year, and a greater public turnout from all over the country.”

 Al Suwaidi added: “etisalat sponsors many activities including the Dubai Shopping Festival, Dubai Summer Surprises, the Ramadan Festival in Sharjah, the Ajman Shopping Festival, the Emirates Civilization Marathon and the Flower Show and Festival in Al Ain, in addition to many other sport, tourism and technology-related events and functions.”
