HH The Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa recently visited Batelco's Computer Lab at the Shabab Club in Jidhafs, during the official opening of the club.
The computer lab is part of the Batelco Live project that aims to provide fully-equipped computer labs and free Internet service to a number of youth centres and clubs in different areas of the Kingdom. Once the project is complete, 30 computer labs will be available in 23 locations around the Kingdom of Bahrain.
HH Shaikh Salman praised Batelco's generous contribution to the local community that touches all aspects of residents’ lives. He particularly hailed this project as a significant landmark made by the leading telecommunications company in the Kingdom.
Batelco GM Corporate Affairs Nadia Hussain briefed the Crown Prince on the lab and outlined the objectives that Batelco aims to achieve from its "Batelco Live" project.
"This initiative will hopefully enable people in those areas to benefit from the global source of information to meet their studying requirements," said Mrs. Hussain.
The Batelco Live project is in line with the company’s strategy to provide Broadband access to every household in the Kingdom, especially following the successful completion of the company’s state-of-the-art Next Generation Network that has given a strong impetus to achieve this goal.
