Lucky Batelco customer Manoj Bapat was all smiles as he collected the first instalment of his BD12,000 prize for being the April winner of Batelco's Monthly Mobile Promotion.

As part of Batelco's latest exciting promotion, loyal customers can win cash prizes of up to BD1000 every month for 12 month. All Batelco residential postpaid mobile customers are eligible to win these high value prizes.

Mr. Bapat, who was invited to Batelco's Hamala Headquarters with his wife Aparna, said that he just couldn't believe it when he received the call from Batelco explaining he had won BD1,000 per month for a year, for using Batelco’s services.

"I remember asking Mr. Abdulla Abuidrees, Batelco Manager Brand & Marcoms, who made the call if he was joking," said Mr. Bapat.

"I even phoned back and spoke to someone else at Batelco just to make sure it was really true!!"

Mr. Bapat and his wife said that they are considering adding a Far Eastern exotic location to their annual vacation as a special treat now that they will have an extra BD1000 coming in every month for a whole year.

"The promotion, which started on April 1st and will continue until the end of 2009 will see 29 lucky Batelco customers financially richer by up to BD1000 every month for a whole year," said Batelco Media & Government Relations General Manager Ahmed Al Janahi.

All eligible customers will be automatically entered into the draw and every transaction such as each minute of call time, each SMS, each MMS and any other mobile transaction will be counted as one entry into the raffle draw.

At regular intervals, customers will receive an SMS informing them how many entries they have in the draw. Customers can also check their number of entries by sending an SMS with the message 'cash' to 4488.

The prize money each month varies from BD50 up to BD1000. In addition to one winner for April there will be four winners each month from May to October, two winners in November and two winners in December.

In May and October the prize money will be BD100 going to 4 winners for each month for the following 12 months, which is equivalent to a total prize money of BD1,200 each for eight winners. From June to September the prize money is BD50 with a total of 16 winners taking home a total of BD600 each over the course of the coming year.

"In November, the stakes will be raised and 2 of our loyal customers can look forward to the benefit of BD500 each month for 12 months," Mr. Al Janahi said.

"To round off this exciting promotion in big style, in December two very lucky mobile customers will become richer by BD1000 each, every month for a year."
