Mobilk - Omantel, in collaboration with Bank Muscat, announced that Omantel’s free Wi-Fi service is now available at 12 Bank Muscat branches. The Wi-Fi service will complement the value added services provided by Bank Muscat to its customers and visitors.
The Wi-Fi service provided by Omantel is the preferred choice of corporate subscribers in the Sultanate, as shown by the growing demand for the service since its launch in the Sultanate several years ago. It enables corporate customers to add more value to the services they provide to their customers.
Following the successful launch of this service in Bank Muscat headquarters earlier this year, Omantel and Bank Muscat extended their partnership to enable customers and visitors of Bank Muscat branches to use the free wireless internet through their smart phones, tablets or laptops. Customers can easily use the service by connecting to the Wi Fi network, accessing the main page of the service and entering his phone number wherein an immediate activation code message will be sent to him explaining the information needed to start using the internet.
Commenting on the introduction of this service, Khalid Mohamed Al-Raisi Senior Manager of Key Accounts Sales at Omantel’s Corporate Business Unit said: “The demand for our Wi-Fi service has been growing and we are glad to partner again with Bank Muscat to provide this service to their customers. We are confident that our Wi-Fi will add more value to the outstanding services provided by the bank and enable their customers not only to check their emails but also to enjoy full access to internet services as if they were at home or at office”
Al-Raisi added, “This new partnership is yet another addition to a record of successful partnerships between both leading national institutions. Through this partnership, Omantel will introduce the service in 12 branches of Bank Muscat in order to enable customers and visitors of these branches to benefit from the reliable, secure and high speed service.”

The service is now available in 12 Bank Muscat branches - MBD, Royal Opera House, Al Khoud, Bait Al Reem, SQU, City Centre, Sur, Firq, Salalah, Ibri, Sohar and Barka.
