In a new report, the Arab Advisors Group profiled and analyzed the Arab e-Government portals and their varying degree of progress and sophistication.

A new report from Arab Advisors Group analyzes and profiles the Arab e-Government Initiatives. The report covers 19 countries in the Arab World: Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, UAE and Yemen. The Arab Advisors analysis is dedicated to countries that have e-Government portals. . By September 2015, a formal e-Government portal was not yet present in Palestine.

The Arab Advisors Group’s data analysis consists of an assessment of 25 governmental portals for 18 Arab countries: Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, UAE (with Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah and Umm Al Quwain analyzed separately) and Yemen.

A new report "Electronic Government Initiatives in the Arab World 2016" was released to the Arab Advisors Group’s Telecoms Strategic Research Service subscribers on January 20, 2016. “Governments in the Arab World have been adopting e-Government solutions to facilitate the citizen-government relations. By September 2015, eighteen Arab countries had launched e-Government portals all primarily aimed at serving the citizens of the country. From the analysis, 75% of e-Government portals provide online services. Furthermore, user payments options are offered by 54.2% of Arab e-Government portals “. Ms. Mai Al-Zeir, Arab Advisors Senior Research Analyst wrote in the report.
