Mobinil led a nationwide initiative to contribute to the development of the Egyptian community

In Ramadan 2009, Mobinil led a nationwide initiative to contribute to the development of the Egyptian community, through giving more than 23 million Mobinil customers the opportunity to give back to the community. Through Mobinil’s initiative of donating an amount from every transaction made. Mobinil was able to reap EGP 24 million during the Holy month, to be distributed to a network of micro-finance charities.
 
 

Mobinil CEO Hassan Kabbani along with the management team held a press conference on October 25, 2009 at the Marriott Hotel - Zamalek. to announce and commemorate the outcome of this CSR initiative and distribute the amount to the following NGOs:

Dar El Orman Organization.
Al Tadamun Microfinance Foundation
Egyptian Junior Business Association - EJBA
I the Egyptian [Ana El Masry]
The distribution of the money will be as follows:

EGP 9 million to Alorman NGO:
Recipient: Alorman’s General Manager, Mr. Mamdouh Mohamed Shaban. An estimate of about 1300 families, are to benefit from this donation.
 
EGP 7 million to AlTadamun Microfinance Foundation:
Recipient: AlTadamun’s Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Mona Zu Alfakar. This donated amount will be targeting thousands of impoverished women, through the issuance of about 7000 loans to fund their various micro enterprises.

EGP 5 million to the EJB, Egyptian Junior Business Association:
Recipient: EJB’s Vice Chairman, Mr. Amr Gohar. This donated amount will be targeting the innovative youth who do not have the financial means for the implementation of their promising projects. About 40 families will benefit from this donation as there will be about 120 projects being funded.

EGP 3 million to Ana AlMasry:
Recipient: Ana AlMasry’s Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Ahdy Eskandar. This donated amount will be targeting 2000-2500 families. These families are to be granted facilitated loans to help them sustain stable income generating micro and small enterprises
