Nawras shares HR best practices at Government HR Summit in Abu Dhabi

Mobilk - Nawras Director of People, Kumail Al-Moosawi, recently joined over 200 senior HR professionals from government and private sectors across the GCC at the Government HR Summit held in Abu Dhabi to share best practices and explore solutions to common challenges such as unemployment and job creation. During a presentation, Kumail demonstrated how Nawras has delivered the company’s talent development initiatives under this year’s theme of ‘Qadiroon’, the Arabic word for ‘we can’.

“We developed ‘Qadiroon’ to align our people with company goals and targets. It  shows all Nawras family members that together we can achieve anything,” said Al Moosawi. “Our aim was to foster a highly motivated and caring work environment that helps individuals to thrive and pass on the benefits to customers. Sharing experiences and insights with others in the field will further help us adapt to changes in the industry and continue delivering an excellent customer experience.”

During his presentation, Kumail highlighted the methods with which Nawras has increased productivity in the workplace. Each year, Nawras conducts its annual ‘ECHO’ Survey to collect genuine feedback from family members, outlining challenges and suggesting solutions to everyday issues. One of the key outcomes from the annual survey has been the introduction of ‘Flash All Hands’, an informal, lively and fun update meeting that keeps all Nawras family members informed and gives a voice to everybody in the organisation.

With a workforce of over 1000 employees, Nawras continues to pursue new ways to further enhance its dynamic working environment and people-centric approach. By staying connected as an organisation, Nawras family members are able to work together to enrich the daily lives of people in Oman.
