Qtel offers financial support to Qatar Sports Federation of Special Needs

Qtel offered financial support to Qatar Sports Federation of Special Needs, in an initiative that aims at supporting the efforts exerted for the advancement of such sports‘activities.

It is well known that Qtel sponsors and contributes to the support of many activities in Qatar, as part of its commitment and responsibility towards the society .Such support is presented through financial or technical support, or through the provision of Qtel‘s services and experiences in such activities, relying on the important role which it played in the spectacular success of the 15th Asian Games in December/2006.

Commenting on this event , Mr. Adel AL Mutawa, Executive Director of Group Communications said,” No doubt , Qtel has an important role ,being a national and leading company in the field of supporting all the various events and activities which are held in this country ,whether Sports ,Cultural etc …” Mr. Adel added , “ We surly support those with special needs in all aspects that can advance this effective section of the society, especially in the field of sports which formulates a basic part in the human health”.

Dr. Hassan Mohammed Al Ansari, the Secretary General of Qatar Sports Federation for special Needs said,” We highly appreciate Qtel‘s role in supporting our activities which aim at spreading sports for special needs on both the local and international levels. We hope that this support will leave a great effect in the enhancement of these sports ‘level, so that our youths will achieve the best results on both the regional and international levels”

Its note worthy that Qatar youths of special needs participated in a number of competitions and achieved good results on the Gulf, Regional and International levels. Three players of the federation were qualified to participate in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
