Oman Mobile unveiled yet another appealing service for Hayyak subscribers, enabling direct electronic Hayyak card recharge starting from 500 baisas with increments of 100 baisas up to one hundred rials; through customer service centers of Omantel and Oman Mobile or from any outlet of Authorized Agents and Distributors.
The company said, "The service is very important and comes as part of the company's dedication to boost its electronic services. It also comes in support of the society's drive towards e-transactions."
The Manager Core Services Ali Kashoub said, "We in Oman Mobile endeavor to strengthen and enhance our e-services to enable Oman Mobile subscribers to add credit to Hayyak cards, or transfer credit to any subscribers without purchasing the normal top-up cards.
He added that this process is done within a few seconds, thus securing safety and convenience. Furthermore, Oman Mobile provides the option of using a top up code for the number to which credit is to be transferred without disclosing the number for further privacy and confidentiality by sending the word "hide" from the number to be recharged to 80666. The system will then send an SMS message bearing the top up code to the subscriber.
Kashoub indicated that Oman Mobile has always been keen to innovate and develop services for its subscribers to suit their needs, live up to their expectations and facilitate the addition of credit to their Hayyak cards. Today, Oman Mobile introduces the e-top up service through various options; such as recharge through payment machines in cooperation with banks, through the Internet from Oman Mobile’s website and through customer service centers of Omantel and Oman Mobile.
Meanwhile, the Senior Manager Indirect Sales Channels Muhannad Al-Asfoor said, "In light of the spread of electronic services among members of the community, Oman Mobile is one of the key institutions that supports these trends and encourages the shift to the e-environment, which would represent a turning point in sales and add another advantage to Hayyak subscribers. As part of its efforts to provide value added services to its subscribers, Oman Mobile decided to introduce this new service through a large network of its accredited agents throughout the Sultanate.
In view of the fact that the number Hayyak subscribers is steadily growing and represents a large portion of Oman Mobile subscriber base, the company decided to offer them this service to facilitate the recharge process or transfer credit to family and friends.
For his part, Awadh Al Balushi, Senior Manager Inventory Management and Logistics said, "Through our successful cooperation with more than 10 strategic top-up card distributors in various regions of the Sultanate, Oman Mobile saw that it is important now to move to e-transactions, to reduce printing of top-up cards, which will conserve our environment." He indicated that Oman Mobile distributes around 70 million Hayyak cards annually in various price denominations. However, through e-top-up, we will achieve high quality services and facilitate top-up process for Hayyak subscribers. He said that the process would be very convenient because it enables recharge of 500 baisas in the first step, with increments of 100 baisas up to one hundred rials.
