Omantel and Oman Mobile pavilion to receive Salalah Tourism Festival

The Pavilion of  Omantel and Oman Mobile will receive the visitors of 2009 Salalah Tourism Festival at the Main Festival Ground as of today (Wednesday) 15 July 2009. The Pavilion will be inaugurated by His Excellency Sayyid Hamoud Bin Faisal Al-Busaidi the Minister of Environment and Climate Affairs, a number of ministers, undersecretaries,  officials and invitees attending the launch ceremony of the Festival.

Over 45 days, the visitors of Oman Mobile and Omantel's pavilion will enjoy the unique summer offers introduced by both companies as part of their continued efforts to remain connected with subscribers and to contribute to the activities and events held in the Sultanate, especially during the summer season when tourists from the Sultanate of Oman and abroad flock to Dhofar Governorate to enjoy the Salalah Tourism Festival.

Omantel and Oman Mobile join this year's Festival as diamond sponsors in order to enhance interaction with subscribers and to remain active and effective participants in all festival's locations. In addition, to meet the requirements and satisfy the needs of the festival's visitors.

The  General Manager of Omantel in Dhofar Governorate, Engineer Mohammed Bin Ali Bait Ali Isa said, "The Company has made all the necessary technical preparations related to the mobile telecommunications network in order to live up to the expectations of visitors and subscribers as well. Omantel and Oman Mobile have made all the preparations to  receive the festival's subscribers and visitors in their joint pavilion in the Main Festival Ground and in Customer Service Counters in the Dhofar Governorate.

Furthermore , Omantel and Oman Mobile will introduce the Omantel internet Café in cooperation with Brownys Café, where visitor will enjoy having their favorite coffee with their families and freinds while enjoying the use of the latest Omantel and Oman Mobile Broadband services.

Unique offers

Ali Isa indicated that summer offers and promotions  introduced by Omantel and Oman Mobile will continue during Salalah Tourism Festival. Therefore, tourists and visitors of the festival can benefit from all summer promotions and enjoy the advantages of these offers. He noted that this year's summer promotions have received good demand from subscribers since their launch on 25 May.

The “Pay and Win" offer has received great demand from Omantel and Oman Mobile subscribers as shown by the first draw, which produced two winners of Toyota Sequoya vehicles. It is expected that the second draw, scheduled on 25 July, will produce more lucky winners of other prizes besides the two Sequoya vehicles. The offer gives fixed line and internet subscribers the chance to enter the draw on two Sequoyas, free one-year subscription for 20 subscribers in one telecom service when they pay their bills.

Oman Mobile also introduced another BlackBerry offer for new and current corporate subscribers. The offer, which ends on 24 of this month, grants new BlackBerry subscribers a free server, when they purchase a number of BlackBerry handsets, free server installation, free connection, and a free one-month subscription. Meanwhile, current subscribers will getdiscounts when they purchase more BlackBerry packages. Discounts range from 5-20% of handset price and free connection.

Hayyak offer

Oman Mobile will introduce yet another attractive 2x2 offer for Hayyak subscribers as of today (Wednesday). Every new subscriber will get  free airtime worth 2 rials upon the purchase of starter kit of 2 rials. This offer gives subscribers the chance to enjoy Hayyak service and benefit from this promotion which is valid  up to 12 October.

Oman Mobile subscribers will also  benefit from the ongoing promotional offer on Push to Talk (PTT) service, which enables subscribers to conduct conversations with a group of up to 10 people through one push. The offer gives one month free subscription for subscribers of the 50 pushes package, subscribers of the 200 pushes package and unlimited package will get a 2 rial discount on the monthly subscription fee.
