Du launches exciting National Day competition

In celebration of the 38th UAE National Day, du announced today the launch of its exciting National Day competition, which invites everyone in the UAE to decorate their car with a National Day theme, take photos, and then upload them to the www.du.ae/uae38   website. Judges will then select the 38 best photographs of the decorated cars, and the budding photographers will each win one of 38 du BlackBerry® 8900 smartphones. The last date for submission of entries is 6th December. Moreover, one winner from each of the 7 emirates will win an iPhone 3GS® as a grand prize.

 “2nd December 2009 is a special day for all of us in the UAE, as it marks the 38th anniversary of the Emirates’ unification and is the most important day in the history of our nation,” said Farid Faraidooni, EVP Commercial, du. “We invite everyone to participate in this exciting competition, as it is an occasion for them to demonstrate their patriotism and commitment to the UAE, through creativity and innovation.”

Participants are instructed to decorate their cars in a way that celebrates the Emirates using the colours of the flag, and submit their entry along with their car registration number and personal information including their name, address, and Emirate to www.du.ae/uae38 . All photo entries will be judged by an independent panel.
