Celebrating four exciting years serving Oman, Nawras took its anniversary event out onto the street to share the happy occasion with the people it has always cared most about – its customers. The pleasingly different celebration took place in the car park of the company’s main office. Passers-by including Nawras Store visitors were pleasantly surprised when they recieved an impromptu invitation to the party.
A group of employees, CEO Ross Cormack and COO Khalid Al-Mahmoud, jointly performed the ceremonial task of cutting one of the largest cakes ever to be baked in Oman. Four teirs of confeectionary were then shared out amongst the assembled Nawras family members and all those in the vicinity.
Nawras has always shown a deep respect for Omani culture in all forms so it was fitting that a traditional Omani band provided the event’s musical entertainment. This spectacle naturally attracted a large crowd of onlookers who were also delighted to be invited to join the celebration.
Blending tradition and the latest technology has proved to be a successful combination for this award-winning communications provider. The fourth anniversary celebration continued the trend. On display was the latest Yukon four wheel drive vehicle which is the grand prize in the exciting 4th anniversary draw. Every time a customer spends RO4, they have a chance to win and multiple entries can be made until the closing date of 13th May 2009.
Anniversary welcome packs are now on sale for just RO4 and come with RO4 free credit. All new customers also benefit from 400 free national SMS – a welcome to the family gift from Nawras.
Hussein Al Fadhill, team leader, corporate affairs, said, “Nawas is proud to have been woven into the very fabric of the community over the last four years. We have been working hard to serve the country in a pleasingly different way which in turn has led to the transformation of mobile telecommunications in the Sultanate. At the same time, we have grasped the opportunity to help and care for those less fortunate in our society. Generous gifts and charitable donations have been made with support given in many ways including the annual Nawras Goodwill Journey.”
Looking around at all the smiling faces, event and protocol manager, Khalid Al-Zadjali, summed up the Nawras way: “Nawras customers enjoy a unique mobile experience that combines the latest technology delivered in a clear and easy-to-understand way with helpful customer service. Our network technology has been tried and tested so customers know they can confidently rely on Nawras even when times are difficult. We are all looking forward to continuing to offer innovative services that meet the real needs of our 1.5 million customers.”
As the award-winning team of over 650 Nawras people celebrated the 4th anniversary, they reaffirmed their collective commitment to ‘living the customer experience’ at every step.
