Nawras Introduces Mobile Fax and CSD

Nawras is delighted to announce the introduction of Nawras Mobile Fax and CSD service (Circuit Switched Data) in response to feedback received from corporate customers. These latest additions to the long list of pleasingly different Nawras Business Solutions bring greater flexibility and convenience to an increasing number of customers trusting Nawras to give their business more.

Gone are the days of waiting at the office for a fax to arrive. Customers now have the ability to send faxes as well as receive fax messages from any other fax number worldwide, whether fixed or mobile. Important documents can be received or sent from any location; a car, a coffee shop or the beach can act as a temporary office.

Nawras CSD gives added life to handheld terminals used for retail stock control and courier services. Businesses using their Nawras SIM-card to power their CSD device are able to track deliveries or trace daily sales and update business actions instantly.

Unveiling the new services, Shadli Al-Abdulsalam, Nawras product manager, business segment, said: “We are delighted to be adding further choice to our extensive portfolio of Nawras Business Solutions. Although designed primarily with business customers in mind, Nawras CSD and Nawras Mobile Fax are now available for all our postpaid customers who wish to benefit from these cost-effective services. Using a mobile, portable fax terminal or handheld terminal with a Nawras Ajel SIM-card, our customers can now enjoy mobile fax or CSD with the great value, pleasingly different service and excellent quality this award-winning company is known for.”

For a monthly subscription fee of only RO3 and usage charged at the same great value tariff as Nawras voice calls, these new services gives an extra dimension to the idea of an office-on-the-move. Without the need to wait for a line to be connected, customers simply use their Nawras SIM-card in their existing handheld monitoring devices for CSD service or select one of three types of hardware to start enjoying the benefits of mobile fax.

The first hardware option is a fax-enabled handset. Customers can buy or download the relevant software to get started if their current handset is not already equipped to use this service.

The second choice is to purchase a wireless device that connects a standard fax machine to have an office or home fax service up and running in minutes. This device does not require any software or set-up and makes it easy to use wireless connectivity though a Nawras SIM-card anywhere in Oman.

The third option is a stand alone wireless, mobile fax machine with SIM-card. These are very similar in appearance to a standard fax machine but provide more mobility.

With the correct hardware in hand, customers simply visit any Nawras Store to request this convenient service and to have their Nawras SIM-card configured with the necessary settings to send and receive fax messages.

Faxes received on the mobile handset are stored in the mailbox and an alert is sent via SMS to let customers know that a fax is waiting. Received faxes can be printed using infrared or Bluetooth connections.

Now the office is truly mobile and business can be carried out more efficiently while on the move. Nawras Mobile Fax and CSD provide customers with the tools to deliver a faster, more efficient response time, contributing to improved productivity and a speedier decision-making process.

The service is available for use throughout the reliable world-class Nawras Network coverage which extends to 97% of the population, with national roaming, giving excellent quality and great value.
