Al-Awadi: VIVA Seeks to Employ People with Special Needs in the Coming Stage.
VIVA Reflects its vision for Youths and Attracts Successful Candidates.
VIVA CEO Najeeb Al-Awadi said that the 14th Economy Makers and Employment Opportunities Exhibition, organized by the College of Business Administration at Kuwait University under the auspices of Dr. Moodi Al-Humoud, Minister of State for Housing and Minister of State for Development Affairs, provided a real opportunity for fresh graduates to meet under one roof with companies operating in the private sector, which sought to attract qualified and promising youths for employment and offerd them live-situations to acquaint themselves with the tactics of applying for the right job.
In a press statement on the occasion of VIVA’s participation in 14th Economy Makers and Employment Opportunities Exhibition, Al-Awadi, speaking on VIVA’s vision for Kuwaiti youths, said that the Company was mobilizing all resources to attract qualified and ambitious youths who were determined to achieve their ambitions and goals.
He added that VIVA’s participation in the exhibition reflected its vision of the Kuwaiti youths, which pinned hope on team-spirited energetic young citizens, stressing that the Company; nevertheless, paid special attention to honouring its community obligations.
He revealed plans that VIVA would in the next stage offer jobs to people with special needs, where VIVA would like to highlight their potentials and reliability at work, stressing that the Company attached special importance to this category of citizens.
Kuwait workforce
Al-Awadi said that VIVA’s focus on Kuwaiti workforce was not prompted by a national requirement only, especially since the Company had already exceeded the percentage of jobs to be given to Kuwaiti by private sector companies by approximately 56%, but because the Company was fully convinced that Kuwaitis showed dependable potentials and qualifications.
He said that the Company had already offered and was still offering intensive training to job candidates to explore their potentials and motivate them to further develop their qualifications in a manner guaranteed to help them achieve their and the Company’s aspirations.
Meanwhile, Dr. Moodi Abdul Aziz Al-Humoud, Minister of State for Housing and Minister of State for Development spoke highly of VIVA’s active participation in the exhibition, attaching importance to the role played by the private sector in meeting the local market’s requirement of youths’ potentials.
She said that the private sector played a significant role in national development and in upgrading youths’ potentials to meet the Kuwaiti labour market’s requirements.
