Motorola iDEN and XPress Telecommunications offered an inside
sneak peak at the latest in technology at the XPress iDEN Motorola
Road Show which took place at the Four Seasons Hotel on
September 11 2005.
XPress CEO, Mr. Suleiman Maani and Motorola iDEN Senior Director
of iDEN International Division, Mr. Rick Wolochatiuk guided guests
through an exhibition area displaying the latest in handsets and iDEN
features, following various presentations on the benefits and future
vision for iDEN.
During his presentation, Mr. Wolochatiuk said, “The power of a button
is changing the world. In Jordan, subscribers have already witnessed
the benefits of Push-to-Talk and Push-to-View. We are looking
forward to witnessing other great services being implemented here in
Jordan including Push-to-Locate, Push-to-Scan and Push-to-Send
Contacts.”
“iDEN is poised to continue its ‘Push into the Future’ with the goal of
reaching over 35 million subscribers by 2007,” announced Mr.
Wolochatiuk, adding “Excluding the US, iDEN international growth is
expected to reach nearly 7 million users.”
On his part, Mr. Maani lead guests into the iDEN exhibition area
where participants were introduced to upcoming features including
enhanced web browser and messaging capabilities, new JAVA and
GPS applications, convenient media center, new Push-To features,
Bluetooth, memory expansion and video capability.
iDEN technology is offered in a wide range of stylish handsets
offering powerful features and functionalities. From ruggedized,
military specification handsets to sleek and stylish bionics influenced
design, handsets are multi-tiered to meet specific markets segment
needs.
Attendees to the high tech function included XPress customers,
distributors, Motorla iDEN executives as well as potential customers.
