CoDI Announces its Comprehensive Trainings Program for 2017

Mobilk - The Center of Digital Innovation (CoDI) in the Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (TRA) announced its comprehensive trainings program for 2017. The program includes a series of workshops and lectures relevant to ICT, smart applications and Business Management.

The training program is targeting the employees at local and federal government entities in the UAE, as well as university students, researchers in various scientific fields, job seekers, teachers, entrepreneurs, projects and initiatives owners in the UAE and the Arab region.

Commenting on announcing this program, H.E Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, TRA Director General said: "We are happy to put our efforts for the year 2017 by launching this training programs for CoDI, in order to implement the decisions of the national smart transformation plan, and to achieve the desired goals represented by developing the national competences to be able to meet the future growth needs in the country. We were able to accomplish major achievements in smart transformation and the provision of necessary infrastructure for launching smart services. Our main objective now is to increase the rates of services utilization, which would reflect positively on the comfort and happiness of customers.

Moreover, H.E Majid Almadhloum, Manager of CoDI, said: These trainings and courses aim to provide the participants such as government employees, students and other targeted groups, with more knowledge, science and best practices. This would enable them to better participate in the government smart projects such as the Government Services Bus (GSB), the Smart Pass, and other smart government initiatives. We looking forward this year to achieve all the planned objectives in training, qualifying competencies and preparing them to keep up with all the updates in this field.

The training program includes management courses that focus on the foundations of adopting the smart government concept, in addition to project management basics, and operations management basics. Furthermore, the information technology courses focus on Data science, user interface design, virtual reality technologies, and cloud computing. The skills courses contribute in improving the trainees capacities in problem solving and decision-making, in addition to time management, positive thinking and presentation skills.
